They need to hear from you ASAP!

Please take 10 minutes before January 30th to call or e-mail. E-mail is best. Even if you miss the deadline your comments are still important. Please send them regardless.

Please tell the Department of Natural Resources:

I support the DNR’s long-term plan to expand the Saugatuck Dunes State Park boundaries to include:
  • The Denison North property
  • The dunes that are bordered by Goshorn Lake at the south, 65th Street to the east, 138th Avenue to the north and the current park boundary on the west.
  • The 22 acre Rosenberg parcel.
  • Historic Shore Acres Park.
  • Any and all remaining development rights within the current boundaries of the Saugatuck Dunes State Park.
In addition I would like to see the DNR include in its long-term plan for the Saugatuck Dunes State Park:
  • Acquisition of properties adjacent to the park.
  • Acquisition of all private properties within the boundaries of the park.
I support the efforts of Concerned Citizens for Saugatuck Dunes State Park to protect the park from needless development. I encourage the DNR to work with Laketown Township to develop and establish a ‘stewardship management zone,’ which would act as a buffer around the park.

Thank you. I appreciate the DNR’s commitment to "Keep It Wild ~ Keep It Whole ~ Make It Grow."

Please include your name and address.
