The Trail to the Beach, Most Popular in the Park

The most popular trail in the Park. Laketown and Holland refer to this as an "existing road." Note the closely spaced trees in the background. The pipeline and/or access road would probably run through here. Laketown and Holland have asked for a linear construction easement across the park that would be at least 40 feet wide. Among the DNR’s Parks and Recreation Bureau’s (Read their April 11 letter) concerns: high-risk erosion area, critical dunes, "significant tree removal and permanent forest canopy fragmentation."
