Area Where Pipeline Easement Would Enter Woods

This is the point at or near which the access road and/or pipeline would enter the woods (at the edge of Historic Shore Acres Park). The rope is 40 feet long. Laketown and Holland have asked for a linear construction easement across the park that would be at least 40 feet wide. There is not a flat portion of park, 40 feet wide, running east to west, across the park. Among the DNR’s Parks and Recreation Bureau’s (See their April 11 letter) concerns: high-risk erosion areas and critical dunes.
